Amazon Antonio’s Lodge welcomes visitors who wish to have an unforgettable experience in this wonderful place. The Amazon Antonio’s Lodge is located 200 km away from Manaus to the northeast of Amazonas state on the left bank of the Urubu River and it is away from the tourist area . The hotel began the construction in 2007. Antonio Gomes is the owner of this enterprise and before he worked as a tour guide together as a team of local guides and helpers, all residents of the region. All tourist activities were performed in the same place in adventure style.
Then Antonio Gomes, with his experience in tourism, have the idea the construction of an eco tourism lodge that would provide more comfort to its customers, without leaving aside the various activities to meet the Amazon jungle and also contribute to the income for the community of the region, and decided to gather his team of local workers to begin construction of the lodge. It was used native materials from the region to give an exotic and elegant to the Lodge, all done with minimal impact to the environment.
The Amazon Antonio’s Lodge is situated on north part of Urubu River upstream, nestled right in the remote area of this region. It is one of the very few Lodges in the Amazon equipped with clean energy system provided by solar panel. The Lodge is structured with a canopy tower, accommodation in Private Chalet, comfortable private rooms in bungalow, shared dormitory rooms and a place for relaxing in hammocks. As well as a restaurant and bar which is facing the river. Plus a floating sun deck with relaxing chairs to appreciate the atmosphere and swim in the river. There are several activities in this area of high land forest such as jungle trekking, camping in the jungle, paddle canoe, fishing, dolphin spotting, bird watching, night tours by canoe and many other.
